Michael Jordan’s documentary on his father, basketball legend and philanthropist Michael Jordan, was released on Netflix on March 16.
The documentary, called “My Life’s Work,” examines the life of Jordan, whose career spans four decades.
It also focuses on the influence of the late Jordan, who was a key figure in the Jordan Brand and a longtime advocate for the development of a global health system.
Jordan said that “my life’s legacy” would be to “break down the walls of the establishment and show the world that there are more than enough people who care about each other.”
The documentary will be the last of a series of documentaries on Jordan that premiered in 2014.
“It’s a tribute to my father,” Jordan said in a statement.
“I’m humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue to work on the legacy of his life, his legacy.”
He added that he is “proud” to have been a part of the project.
Jordan told ESPN that he was inspired by the work of his father and “looked for ways to make documentaries that were really authentic to the life he lived.”
