How to Catch ‘Til The End: The Making of ‘Ava’

On Monday, MTV announced that the documentary, “Ava,” will premiere on its network on March 16.

The first trailer is below.

Ava is a film about a teenage girl, Ava (Emma Sulkowicz), who, in 2013, raped a Columbia University student named Dakota Meyer (Nina Simone), who was then 19 years old.

Her actions sparked a national uproar.

The young woman, who was later diagnosed with PTSD, had been placed in foster care and later moved to a facility for mental health and substance abuse, where she was forced to undergo treatment.

The film, which is produced by filmmaker Michael Grier, features performances by Nina Simone, Aimee Mann, Lily Allen, and the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga.

“Avo” was also the title of a popular online meme, which included a cartoonish-looking Ava with the caption “Get ‘Em Tilly!”

It was created by a user known as Ava.

The trailer for the upcoming MTV docu-series AVA will premiere at 9 p.m.

EST on March 15, 2018.
